Keeping you and our workers safe is our top priority. Below you'll find some information how we've prepared to the current situation.
Before your appointment we'll get in touch and ask if anyone in your home:
- Has any Covid-19 symptoms
- Is shielding or vulnerable, or if there's anything else we need to know
Our team will also call ahead on the day of your appointment to see if anything has changed or if there's any new information you need to give to us.
During your appointment our workers will follow the latest guidance and will:
- Wash or sanitise their hands before entering your home and at regular intervals during their time around you
- Socially distance and keep at least 2 meters awau from you at all times. And they'll ask everyone in your home to do the same for them - ideally by staying in a different room.
- Wear disposable or protective gloves as appropriate during their time with you
- Wear face masks where appropriate, following official advice
- If anyone in your home is shielding, our teams will take extra precautions, including wearing goggles and a respirator mask.
- Listen to you and adapt to your home and your needs where they can
- Take all reasonable care to keep both themselves and you safe.
If a job requires two or more workers, they'll wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as standard and will take extra precautions such as face masks when they are not able to keep two meters apart.
Where possible, please open doors and windows to improve ventilation throughout the property prior to our workers arriving. Please ask our team to help you with any such physical tasks and further precausions you'd like to take, should you need assistance.
Most importantly, we all have a responsibility to help keep each other safe. Our HIA team values your safety above all, and with these steps we can continue to work together to improve your quality of life and that of your loved ones in a safe way.
